Scout Adventures are currently recruiting for their NEW UK Volunteer Trainee Programme, starting from September 2025.
This 12-month volunteer placement is ideal for those looking to gain hands-on instructing experience and professional outdoor qualifications.
Programme overview and highlights:
- Runs from September 2025 to September 2026.
- Only 30 places available.
- Open to anyone who is aged 18+, a UK citizen, or has the right to volunteer in the UK.
- Based at one of five adventure centres across the UK: Broadstone Warren (Sussex), Fordell Firs (Edinburgh), Gilwell Park (London), Great Tower (Lake District) and Youlbury (Oxford).
- Residential placement with meals, uniform, training and a weekly allowance included.
- Full induction and training, nationally recognised outdoor qualifications and obtain hundreds of hours of instructing experience.
Upon completion, participants with have a CV packed with real instructing qualifications (including ERCA High Ropes, Target Sports, Water Sports, Mountain Training, First Aid and Health and safety), extensive hands-on experience and will have worked with an amazing team of over 100 volunteers from across the UK and around the world!
